Tax Filing Documents
Before beginning work on ALL 2022 tax returns, we need a signed Engagement Letter and completed Basic Questionnaire.
In addition, there are specific questionnaires that must be completed and returned to us for anyone who:
Plans to file as Head of Household
Has self employment income, income from “side jobs,” or other income (such as from ride sharing, Airbnb, etc.)
Qualifies to claim the Earned Income Credit (guidelines here)
Has college or other post secondary education expenses for themselves, spouse or dependent(s), not including student loan interest
All specific questionnaires are in the SecureFilePro “Public” section. (This just means that anyone can access the blank questionnaires - your completed forms will not be visible to anyone else.) They are all in fillable pdf format. Just be sure to SAVE your completed form before uploading it to your portal (for returning clients) or to the Guest Exchange portal (for new clients) or you will send us BLANK FORMS!
Returning clients should have received an email from Verifyle to sign the Engagement Letter digitally (Verifyle instructions). New clients can print and manually sign the Engagement Letter or e-mail us and we’ll send a copy through Verifyle. Instructions for using Verifyle.
Returning clients will receive their customized 2021 Tax Organizer through SecureFilePro. Please complete the fillable pdf documents, SAVE them to your device with a different file name and upload them to the secure portal to return them to us. If you forget to SAVE the completed form, you will return a BLANK FORM to us!
New clients can access the Basic Questionnaire here or through the SecureFilePro Guest Exchange. Be sure to SAVE your completed forms before uploading them to us or you will be sending us BLANK FORMS!
